Massive exposure to radiation gives birth to some exceptionally horrid movie monsters, including poor astronaut Steve West, otherwise known as the Incredible Melting Man.
In this 1978 film, West’s space ship mission to Saturn encounters a blast of radiation, but he is somehow miraculously returned to earth — past the asteroid field and the forces of gravity — where he becomes a rampaging murdering cannibal.

While the film is filled with unintentional comedic moments, there is no denying the fantastic makeup that has gone into making Steve West a more than credible movie monster. With melted, exposed flesh surrounding a set of unnerving, probing eyeballs, Steve West is outer space’s version of Frankenstein.
