…and now for something completely Turkish.

Flamenco is not content to be confied to the cultural halls of beautiful Spain.  Like the conquistadors, flamenco has spread to all corners of this earth.  I have had a long love affair with Flamenco since watching my first Carlos Saura film, perhaps owning to what little Spanish blood I have, and continue to expand my knowledge by digging through Youtube videos that might satiate my fascination with flamenco.

“Flamenco Turco” is my favorite video featuring the music of twins Oyku y Berk.  I have no idea of what is being said, but I love the sound, rhythm, dancing and the deep, expressive voices.  I would like to think that there is something thoughtful and beautiful in the lyrics, and would be pretty angry if it were an advertisement for Nokia phones or something.
